
MRI Expands Recruiting Network to Japan
Cleveland, OhioManagement Recruiters International (MRI), the world's largest search and recruitment organization, recently signed an agreement with FujiStaff Inc. to join the global MRI franchise network. FujiStaff, founded in 1980, is the sixth largest staffing firm in Japan with annual revenues of more than US$350 million, 1,000 employees and 37 offices. The deal gives MRI entry into the Japanese market and allows FujiStaff to serve as a franchisee for MRI in Japan.
"Expansion into Japan is a significant and positive move for MRI," said President and CEO Allen Salikof. "We currently operate in nearly 40 countries, but until now our network has not included the Japanese market, where world-class search and recruitment services are increasingly in demand."
MRI Japan, owned by FujiStaff, holds the Master Franchise License in Japan. The company, which is headquartered in Tokyo, plans to open 100 offices and four company-owned offices during the next five years.
FujiStaff currently places primarily temporary and interim employees. "This alliance with MRI will allow us to expand our recruiting services to include mid-to-upper-level executive, managerial and professional positions," said Mr. Masuyama, Jr. President of MRI Japan and Managing Director of FujiStaff.
