Healthcare employment is on the rise across the country, as a medical supplier in Michigan and a health services firm near Dallas plan to collectively hire more than 1,700 employees.
Binson's Home Health Care Center in Warrin, Michigan, which is a family pharmacy that has expanded over decades to become a medical equipment supplier, plans to hire approximately 100 new employees to work at its customer service and retail outlets to meet demand of a new contract, according to the Macomb Daily.
The new home health care needs will see employees hired all over the state of Michigan at its seven retail outlets, meant to assist customers who prefer their medical care to be done in the privacy of their own homes.
Binson's was recently awarded a national contract to produce diabetes testing supplies for Medicare patients, additionally receiving eight of a total of nine other bids for production of medical equipment and supplies for the government service.
An additional 1,600 full time temporary workers are planned to join the healthcare service firm Towers Watson, which is expanding into Richardson, Texas near Dallas, according to the Dallas Morning News.
