As companies grow, they begin to be able to better incorporate technology into their services or products.
This appears to be the case for daily deals site Groupon, which announced that it would be adding 100 workers to its new office in Palo Alto, California, according to the Financial Times. The new workers would reportedly be product managers, software engineers and data analysts, and some may be utilized in graphic design.
The Chicago-based firm, which already has 60 employees working in California, has put up billboards advertising its open positions.
"With our billboard campaign, we’ve certainly seen an uptick of resumes coming in," said chief data officer at Groupon Mark Johnson told the news source. "Now it’s just a question of selecting and getting great talent on board."
Technology is picking up north of the border as well as the Vancouver Sun reports that 99designs, a graphic design service, recently received $35 million in investment.
The site allows companies to contract with the nearly 100,000 graphic designers on the site and is the largest of its kind, according to the news source.
