The largest supermarket chain in the UK, Tesco, has announced plans to expand its F&F clothing and accessories line into the Middle East. The announcement came as Dubai-based Landmark Group said it has partnered with India's Mandhana Industries to sell "Being Human" clothing products at its Middle Eastern stores starting in April.
Ad Age Global reports that Tesco will partner with the Saudi Arabian retail group Fawaz Abdulaziz Al Hokair to accelerate the growth of the F&F line in region with 19 new stores.
According to the news source, the first F&F store will open in Saudi Arabia this year and will work with the Saudi group to develop a range of clothing that is appropriate for the local market.
Meanwhile, Mandhana Industries Limited said it will collaborate with the Landmark Group's Splash and ICONIC to sell the "Being Human" brand clothing throughout the Middle East, including at stores in Egypt, Saudi Arabia and Jordan.
"The Middle East is our very first international destination and we are extremely pleased to partner with Splash & ICONIC as they not only have the required muscle in terms of stores and presence, but will also portray the brand in a distinct manner," Manish Mandhana told the Economic Times.
